EMS Programs

EMTs performing hands-on exercises

The Arrowhead Regional EMS system has been serving the needs of EMS providers throughout seven counties of Northeast Minnesota (Aitkin, Carlton, Cook, Itasca, Koochiching, Lake, and St. Louis) for nearly 40 years. We support our area responders by providing training, disaster preparedness guidance, communications system information, grant coordination, equipment for training and field use, medical direction, legislative support, critical incident stress debriefing, and public awareness programs.  Each year our specific projects in these focus areas are built from recommendations of the AEMSA Projects and Review Committee.

Health care Coalition funding is at risk!

We need your help.

Since 2002, our staff have led the Northeast Healthcare Preparedness Coalition, bringing together healthcare facilities and response partners across seven counties and three tribal nations in Northeast Minnesota. When we plan together, train together, and respond together, we build a stronger, more resilient healthcare system.

Now, the federal grant that funds our Coalition, and all eight Coalitions across Minnesota, is in jeopardy.
