Communications

We support the regional communications framework that enable emergency medical services to communicate with public safety and health care. The ability to achieve interoperable communications is essential to the provision of patient care. We own and operate towers, frequencies, an 800MHz radio cache and are an active participant in the continued management of the 800MHz ARMER system, which is owned and operated by the state of Minnesota.

With recent advances in communications technology, the need to remain current and monitor trend shifts has become more important than ever before. We serve as a regional representative on many local, regional and state committees and work with groups to ensure continuity of information available to all emergency medical services in the region. Finally, can will find links to the latest version of the ARMER best practices for EMS and Hospitals below.
